Can't take assault assertions on Nate Parker daintily: Gabrielle Union




Birth of a Nation on-screen character Gabrielle Union says the film is essential for her however she can't take assault assertions on its chief and her co-star Nate Parker delicately.

In a supposition piece for Los Angeles times, she tended to the allegations against Parker and composed "As essential and earth shattering as this film seems to be, I can't trifle with these affirmations."

The 43-year-old star, who depicts a casualty of rape in the film, said she acknowledged the part since she could interface with it as she was herself assaulted at gunpoint at 19 years old.
